Volumes in honour of Prof. Jesús Peláez

The last 17th of October 2013, the Greek Philology Department of the University of Cordoba organized a tribute to Professor Jesús Peláez del Rosal, on occasion of his retirement. He is Professor of Greek Philology, editor in chief of the international Journal Filología Neotestamentaria, director of the Project of the Greek-Spanish New Testament Dictionary and Editor of Ediciones El Almendro de Córdoba.

We are honored to present the two volumes published on this occasion:

1. Lautaro Roig Lanzillotta – Israel Muñoz Gallarte (Eds.), Greeks, Jews and Christians. Historical, Religious and Philological Studies in Honor of Jesús Peláez del Rosal, Ediciones El Almendro, Cordoba 2013. 548 pp. €50,00.

The first volume includes studies and essays on Old and New Testament Philology in his widest sense. The contributions of this volume are published in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish. This volume is the number 10 of the international peer-reviewed academic serial Estudios de Filología Netoestamentaria, that will certainly be of interest to biblical and theological scholars and students.

The second one includes articles by the closest friends of Prof. Peláez, collaborators and colleagues from the Spanish University with a variety of subjects, from the semantics of New Testament Greek to a Hispano-Hebraic piyyutim. It is written only in Spanish.
